It may not be a traditional Christmas colour, but yellow will dominate when officials from a Nigerian orphanage open their super-sized gift from North Dundas Twp. sometime in December.
A 48-passenger 1993 Bluebird International school bus is what will roll out of the shipping container thanks to the generosity of Wubs Transportation Services, which is currently having some minor body work done to the unusual gift.

When a local school bus company heard about a Nigerian Orphanage in need, they wanted to do something a bit more unique than sending a cheque overseas.
Instead, Wubs Transportation Service is sending a 48-passenger school bus to the Children of Promise orphanage. |

A local transportation company is sending a unique Christmas present across the ocean this month. Wubs Transportation Services of Chesterville, which operates charter buses in Ottawa, is sending a school bus to Children of Promise Ministries in Nigeria.
"It has all just worked out," said Nanda Wubs, who owns the company with her husband Richard, explaining that they found out about the ministry's need for a bus just over a month ago. The Wubs happened to have three surplus buses this year. |
